Frequently Asked Questions
Is weather an issue?
As a drone pilot, schedule is determined by availability and, more crucially, weather conditions. Wind and rain not only pose a safety risk, but they also make capturing high-quality content difficult, if not impossible. I understand that nobody can control the weather, therefore my goal is to be as adaptable as possible. Also, I always check the weather before starting any project and typically contact the client if there are any problems.
Which areas do you serve?
We serve Green Bay, Appleton, Manitowoc, Sheboygan, and surrounding areas.
Can you fly near airports?
Typically, YES! As an FAA Part 107 Certificate holder, I can request permission
to fly in controlled airspace. This is not assured because the Air Traffic
Control Manager has the final say, but I have had few difficulty receiving
approval.
Please keep in mind that the approval procedure can take several days and that
applications must be filed at least 72 hours in advance.
